Recently opened in MHS is the new Living Museum Co-ordination Centre to promote the culture & traditions of life in MHS.
The citizens of MHS are sufficiently concerned about the rapid development in "nearby" Pai in MHS province, such that they want to preserve their old buildings & life style.
Hence the birth of the Living Museum centre, with info on the old buildings, shops, businesses, markets, food & famous old restaurants serving traditional food.
Also in the future plans for MHS is a Shan cultural centre, to explain about Shan life & history in Mae Hong Son.
The Living Museum Information Centre, is just a small step for the growing conservation movement in MHS & 3 cheers for their efforts.
Well worth checking out in MHS before exploring town.
