Far out bananas, in the name of funk, what a day, foggy and a lot of rain early in the morning and few hours later sunshine, lotsa single treks , water crossings, dried out riverbeds, rocks etc.etc.
We started exploring more around Mae Wang and Doi Inthanon and were lucky to discover some hip treks, I hope the photos do justice to what it was really like.

The change in temperature amazed me today, when we started we read about 24 degrees Celsius and when we got back the thermometer rose toward the 40's.

We had all kind of terrain under our rubber knobbies today and the fun we had was tremendous. The quick sand section, you will see in the upcoming video was so much fun, the wheel was spinning and spinning and didn't move the bike much further, I was attacked by red ants shortly after, as bumped straight into their nest, I threw off all my cloth and made a dance like a Hopi Indian to the laughter of George, but shorty after he found himself spiked with those red devils all over him, now it was my time to laugh:cool:

Then my XR250 wouldn't start, the whole electrical system failed and there was no indication of electricity at all, we discovered a bad fuse, luckily I still found a fuse in all my mess and we continued our off-road safari, after the quick sand, some water crossings were a welcome gift from mother nature and helped cool down the engines of man and bike...

At at waterfall the time stroke 5pm and we should be back on tarmac before dawn, it seemed to be impossible to pass there, so we decided to turn around...on the way back we discovered a new junction and tried it out. Another riverbed with very fast sections, so much fun, carried us back to the headquarters of the National Park, from there it was just a 20 minutes ride back to the super highway, that brought us home safe.

and this one might be a captured hawk or something like that, I talked to the people, they told me they caught him, while he was stealing eggs from the farm, so now he has to stay with them for some time before they'll let him go, they assured me, they won't do any harm to him, before they let him go, what a nice fella....

Lots of action & varied surfaces there Rudi.
What was with all the Karen villagers lining the road at the start - off to church or the temple?
Pleased to see George was wearing his gloves.

Haha, is it riding around the "Gloves" or riding around the "Globe", I am very happy that some people are just as weird as me, I didn't stop to ask the Karien People, where they were going, this trip was one of the nicest I have done in the last two years. I will keep the GPS file secret, for good reason, hope no-one minds
