Have stayed here a couple of times Nan Lanna Hotel review, 75/25 Mahaprom Rd, Nan
Great new hotel in a relatively quiet soi but still near the main attractions of Nan. Price was 500 baht before but seems its 690 now.
And then there are Nan Guesthouse of course, set in a old wooden house thats quite well kept. Rooms are clean but rather simple. Nice cafe and restaurant vis-a-vis, both gh and cafe run by a friendly dutch guy and his thai wife.
nanguesthouse Have stayed there as cheap as 150 baht with shared bathroom, but I think I paid 350 with fan and private bathroom in november last year.

Just in the last year or two, about 20 or more new hotels/motels has been opened in Nan and the surrounding area. I have updated OSM with several of them.
Get you free OSM update here.

My favourite place is Nan is the Noble garden Resort. Out of town a little on the bypass but with a great swimming pool in a large garden. Around 1,000 Baht a night with a buffet breakfast.

We stayed in town, close to where Tony's Place restaurant used to be; Bahn Nai Wiang (House in the city).
1654480713544.jpg

The hotel is tucked away in a small soi with a small car park next to it.
1654480720163.jpg

Rooms are 500 Baht a night with comfy beds.
Or 600 Baht for two people in a room.

We stayed in town, close to where Tony's Place restaurant used to be; Bahn Nai Wiang (House in the city).

Ive stayed at this hotel many times, used to be good when Tonys Place was open...........................still a decent hotel.....................also not too far to walk to Nan Hotbread for brekky :)

Funny story, probably 6 or 7 years ago there was about 4 or 5 of us staying there, had ridden up from Chiang Mai, anyway we arrived about 3pm, we all agreed to meet downstairs at 5pm and wander off for a few beers........................................I was ready way to early, about 4pm so I was wandering around downstairs looking at all our bikes, I was on a newly released Honda NC700X with the DCT (rental) and a Thai man came over and was asking me about the bike, out of the blue he says he has a big bike, I asked where was it, nextdoor in his warehouse he said, so he took me to show me his bike.

The bike was an early eighties CX500, the shaft drive one with the engine cylinders poking out eachside, he tried to start it but not enough grunt in the battery.........................He had an old Japanese car there aswell and an original Jeep from the Vietnam war era...........................He told me the story on how he went to Laos and bought the Jeep, then drove it back to Nan, way back in the mid seventies, anyway he said this one goes and he wanted to take me around the block in the car..............................so off we go, being LHD I was in the passengers seat sitting on the right and we went around Nan for a drive....................came back about 5pm and my mates were out front waiting for me, the LOOK IN THERE EYES WAS PRICELESS, they thought I was driving ...............................whose car are you driving Heineken they yelled out lol, wasnt till they got closer they realized I was passenger, I do have some photos somewhere, great times
