I'm pleased to see Triumph have re-introduced the Trophy. I had a 1995 900 & a 1999 1200. Both were good touring bikes & covered a lot of miles. I see Triumph has had the sense to fit this new one with shaft drive - should be a big improvement. Annoyingly, the finish on the 1200 was nowhere near as good as on the 900 which is why in 2002 I returned to Honda. A friend of mine who worked for Triumph in Florida suggested this was due to Triumph outsourcing a lot of parts from abroad with a lack of quality control.

I think the Quality is Top Notch at Triumph now and all their Bikes are Beautifully Finished! They are really taking the Motorcycle Market by Storm. The Only thing I find a bit Concerning is apart from their Classic Range of Bikes all their New so called "Adventure" and Touring Bike Range seems to be a Direct Copy of a BMW? Not very Original and I hate Copy Cats!!! Of course the point could be argued that their Copies are a better Bike but I would have thought they could alter the look a little to look more Original and like one of their Own Bikes?
