Following on from Tarquin’s excellent trip reports, illustrated with photo’s shot on film, I thought I’d start a general thread for putting up your filmfots, new or old..
Here’s a few from Cambodia...

One of the things I like about shooting film is that, by the time I get around to doing a developing session, I've often forgotten what I shot (seems to be more common, the older I get). Today I developed a film that i wanted to use as a test for my developer and fixer solutions. It turned up a shot from last year, when I stopped over in Ethiopia for a couple of days on my way from Angola to Equatorial Guinea. While I was walking around the streets of Piazza district of Addis Ababa one morning, someone called out to me "Remember me?". I initially ignored the voice, but then caught myself out, and turned to meet the guy on the right (I'd forgotten I took this shot, and only noticed it after developing a random film today):

He was / is an alcoholic person, named Daniel, who, 10 years ago had come up to me to tell me that I was being followed by some bad lads when walking through the same streets. Back then, he walked with me until we dropped them, and last year he walked with me for a while, too.
Daniel meets a Brahman:

This was him 10 years ago:

I'm happy that a few chemicals today (not ingested) helped stir some memories.

Thanks, Ian. While I was there this time, I got to see something of the violent World that Daniel inhabits. A rather ganksterish @$$hole set into him while we were walking, and managed to land a few hefty kicks before Daniel escaped.
I don’t think being a street-person in Addis is a lifestyle I aspire to, yet he did manage to maintain that same grin and bubbly personality that I encountered 10 years ago.

Someone must have some film shots they can add. Don’t worry about quality - It’s the moment that counts.

Too Funny! KL, Only one Malaysian! An African, 2 Arabs and 1 Indian! Says a lot about the Sad State of the World. Countries overrun by Foreigners! You should take some photos in Auckland now! Only Indians and Chinese! Out of the Top 10 Names for Births in New Zealand only 1 was English! Sadly that is why I can never return Home!
