Cranky T. Great little resturant in Phonsavan.

Just up the road from Bamboozle.

Great coffee

I had these two cakes…one was a Japanese chocolate cake. I was buzzing after eating it. So rich and tasty.

Looks far to posh for Phonsavan, but then again this town is booming.

Phonsavans air conditioned oasis.

Certainly worth checking out, ..a great place to escape the heat after a days riding.

Thoroughly recommend Cranky T..
The owners Dad is the contractor for the road to Long Cheng.
The Chinese have the contract from the other direction. I guess the ones getting shot up recently ?

She employees mostly Hmong.. May come across as a bit of a hard case.
But just trying to teach them what is right and wrong and how to work properly. .
Genuinely cares for the staff.

When there met Dad and the Mayor of Phonsavan. They had been playing Badminton.

Great places to stock up on some riding tucker before taking off.

The Simmaly - Simmary

the #1 value for money backpacker & local joint.

Located on a corner in the main street

basicallly oposite the UXO & MAG offices
Famous for it's huge servnigs that are often not easy to finish.

a simple steamed rice + chicken with ginger; & i had to admit defeat. Could not fiinish it all.

AND this is the top brekky spot in town, or at least in low season.

On the corner between the Dok Khoune GH & the Bamboozle is the Phoxai

located right on a corner at the entrance to the market soi it is a great place to hang out & watch all the locals go by.
Plus get some tasty cheap fresh food

Beef steak

& not quite how I was expecting the steak to be, but is was certainly tasty enough.
