Pirats at the border...

    Last week, we riding from Nan over the border to Hong Sa Laos. Paperwork Thaiside easy Laos nearly also. But suddenly 1 Lao guy from the office want to charge us for 2 bikes 6000 baht. We not payed and talking with another officer. He was confuse about the other one. After a discussion he said can go Mister- ok we start and past the headoffice... nothing. Pirats in Laos try to take poketmoney... :evil:

    Interesting as I've had friends come across this way with no problem. I went to the Lao border and spoke with 2 senior customs officials and the entry fees were similar to other land borders.

    Are you sure it was 6000 bath and if so, what was his explanation of the charge?
