As the low cost airports of Hat Yai, Krabi, Surat Thani & Ko Samui bring the tourists in, where can one rent a bigger biker from?
Krabi & Ao Nang seem to verya tourist driven with only scooters

a websearch gives me a small bit:
"Theres a big bike hire shop near the entrance to Chaweng beach" for Koh Samui island

maybe some help from the locals...
many thanks,

_Z

The "big bike" in the picture above is a 200cc Honda Phantom. ;)

Ohms Cycles on Samui, oposite the turnoff to Chawang beach has everything from Harleys to Busas.
However they are very reluctant to let you take them off the island.
I had more luck from Easy riders on the main ring road near Lamai beach, it is run by an expat who has lived on the island for a long while.
I hired a 400cc Transalp for a mate and we rode over to Krabi, Phuket and toured for a week.
The only thing he warned us was if we broke down or had an accident it was up to us to get the bike back to Samui.

Hope this helps
