Hi Ray,
Thanks for the report, you do such a good job with many pics that there is little for me to add, except to agree it was a very enjoyable ride, good scenery, good company, good weather, real variety of bikes and riders, and different ideas of suitable riding gear!!, topped off by some great home cooked food.
My good old GPS took me home as I had no idea where the little village we ate at was. It took me on a straight line on small roads to the No 2, near Kumpawapi, the BMW proved an ideal bike for this type of ride, easily coping with the potholed roads, and one unsurfaced road on the way home.
Just for the record, when you post pics on sites like Photobucket, your pictures stay there until you delete them, or on some sites after a period if not viewed, the site deletes them., not sure of Photobucket policy on that one.
You copy the link to your ride report and when somebody views the report, their computer follows the link, goes to the Photobucket site and downloads from there. The photo is never stored on GTR. When viewed the photos are stored on the viewers computer in a temporary internet file, for a while and so it can be quicker to view the reports a second and third time. Depending on the viewers internet settings, the temporary file is cleared every now and then so pics have to be downloaded again. Some naughty boys who do not like people to see what they have been viewing on their computer use settings that clear every day, or even every time they boot up, so they would not store the pics.
I hope that is not totally confusing or too much information.
Cheers, John
