Road Between 1284 And 1088

Hello folks, I'm planning a ride in November

and the first day is from Chiang Mai to May Hong Song. Google maps says there is a road between R1284 and R1088 but no street view and the satellite view is old. Is this a dirt track or ok for road bikes? Thanks in advance, Greg

Thanks David, Google maps has heaps of out of date information. I've looked at street view to see hotels and its just vacant land or old buildings, and some roads look good but in reality are nothing but pot holes. The road I'm interested in has 7Km of concrete road to a village and 15Km of track. Probably great on a dirt bike.

Mae Chon Luang - R1088 is still dirt. Depending on how early in November it is, it could be a challenge on a road bike.
Just take 1284, it is beautiful in there.

To do the road with the no right bike and the passenger full luggage is not easy but I like the mission impossible or will be not adventure but a organized trip.
But this road depend of the season is difficult may be with a cross bike is a joke and I am not a expert.
Many friend they say I am crazy use not the right motorbike and the property weel for off road.
My answer is always,how many people normal they come to live in Thailand
