Hello folks, I'm planning a ride in November Untitled. and the first day is from Chiang Mai to May Hong Song. Google maps says there is a road between R1284 and R1088 but no street view and the satellite view is old. Is this a dirt track or ok for road bikes? Thanks in advance, Greg

Thanks David, Google maps has heaps of out of date information. I've looked at street view to see hotels and its just vacant land or old buildings, and some roads look good but in reality are nothing but pot holes. The road I'm interested in has 7Km of concrete road to a village and 15Km of track. Probably great on a dirt bike.

Mae Chon Luang - R1088 is still dirt. Depending on how early in November it is, it could be a challenge on a road bike.
Just take 1284, it is beautiful in there.
