Another place which is outside of town, but excellent for staying at The Historical Park is Navy Si Satchanalanai. The road into si satchanalai is picturesque too. Very reasonable at 500 baht and there is an excellent thai restaurant in the evening nearby . The resort is 2km from the historical park. The view of the school is from the resort and the reataurant is there too. At night, it’s a nice atmosphere . Great thai food and beers . CSL is nice for brekkie on the way out.

They only have 4 rooms here so it’s not a big place but ideal for solo riders or small groups.
