Ok. I would like to know how much it costs and the process to transfer the number plate from one province to another OR changing plates to a new province, not sure which happens!

example: CBR250 Bike in Nakhon Pathom and need to transfer to Hua Hin. ALSO IT WOULD BE A NEW OWNER.

So what are the costs and paperwork. Thanks in advance.

If it's merely a transfer of vehicle from one province to another it's very cheap and easy. If I remember correctly it's 150 baht for a new plate and a very small fee for the Land Transport Department to update your registration book, aka green book.

If you are selling the bike then you will also need to pay a transfer fee and tax on the sale price. Often buyer and seller will agree to declare a low sale price to the LTD in order to reduce the tax.

But why would you want to transfer it from one changwat to another? I live in Khon Kaen and my bike was registered in Chonburi. And the guy who bought my Versys is living in Phitsanulok and he could put the bike in his name while still registered in Chonburi.
