VYTA TOURS ARRANGES ASEAN MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO VIETNAM

http://www.vietnamopentour.com.vn/vietn ... etnam.html

VietNamNet Bridge – A group of nine foreign travelers arrived in HCMC on Wednesday, starting a special motorcycle tour through five countries in Southeast Asia under the arrangement of the HCMC-based Vynh Tan Trade and Tourism Company, or Vyta Tours.

Phan Than, director of the company, told the Daily that the guests included seven Americans, one Canadian, and one Norwegian. The travelers riding six high-capacity BMW and Triumph motorcycles will visit the five countries in two months.

The travelers are traveling in Vietnam within 20 days. The tour, arranged by Vyta Tours in collaboration with an American partner, is taking tourists to several destinations from south to north, including HCMC, Dalat, Nha Trang, Pleiku, Hoi An, Hue, Vinh, and Hanoi.

From the capital city, the travelers will take a bus to Halong Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh, and after being back to Hanoi, they will be riding to Sapa and Dien Bien Phu. They will then leave Tay Trang border gate in Dien Bien Province for Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand before ending the tour in Malaysia.

It's the first time we organize this special motorcycle tour through the five countries. We've made surveys for the tour's route one year before, Than said.

Vyta Tours has organized many motorcycle tours for foreign travelers before. It is pinning high hopes in developing the tour that take tourists through the five Southeast Asian countries.

Than said that the company would receive another group from the American partner next year.

In Vietnam, entry of foreign tourist vehicles requires regulatory approval from authorities as riders of high-capacity motorcycles or right-handed automobiles need to obtain special licenses.

Comment: no date, but I wonder if this was Globe Riders last year?

The American partner has since bailed and I've tried to contact them with limited luck. Not sure if it's a real deal or a one off web page.
