Those Comfi Cheeks Pads might be comfortable but are Bloody Ugly! What happened to the Mesh Seat Cover from Suchee? They work well?

I will be testing out the Comfi Cheek Pads in a few days, en route to Cnx, maybe coming down R118 for a laugh.
There was no mesh seat cover in stock at Helmet2Home when I was there. I ordered one & they were to contact me when it arrived, but........still waiting. Another visit is required.

Nice! I used to compete on Montessa, then Beta, and still have a TY250 sitting forlorn in a shed down in Perth.
The thing that has always impressed me with trials is how much damage one can do to oneself at walking speed...

Here’s my 1974 Enfield Bullet, which I’ve owned for 20-something years. An Interceptor is currently wending it’s wicked way to KL, ready for my return from Angola in a couple of months.

Regards the Himalaya, my wife and I have enjoyed following the journey of Noraly and her bike named “Basanti”:

The bike has served her well (as has her admirable attitude):

Made it to Sungai Golok today. Immigration and Customs were all good, except for one Person on the Malaysian Immigration (which is usually the easiest for me), who was an excellent tropical version of Little Britain’s Receptionist, Carol. She complained that I didn’t stop at the (unmarked) Immigration booth. I responded that I just followed the 500 other motorcyclists barreling down what seemed like an advanced riding school obstacle course, and that nobody appeared to be present. She told me that was a lie, and so I asked directions to the cunningly-disguised booth. She waved generally towards the South China Sea. I found the booth, with a nice Immigration officer, and she did nothing, but told me to go to Counter 11, which was my old friend, who6hen Set about grumpily doing the job she was meant to in the first place.
I did manage to cause a stir when I dropped my pen cap down the back of the fingerprint machine in Thai Immigration, and then proceeded to shake it to get it out. I’m surprised anyone lets me in anywhere...

I'm riding a GPX legend 200cc
made in Thailand

Cool.

I've just bought a GPX XLR110 for my son's first bike. It's being serviced and I've got a new set of plastics for it with a sticker set that I designed to go on it.

Will post pics when done.

In other news...

I picked my not-so-new SL230 up from being fettled today. I managed to avoid a contribution to the Brown Mafia's Sang Som fund and got home shaken but not stirred.

Hi everyone!

Thought I'd give a bit of an update on the Himalayan I ride. I've been working outside Thailand for the last 1,5 -2 years so I haven't really had much time to get some riding done with it but I've just done the 5,000 km service and all is well.

I took the bike on a 4 day trip through K'buri, S'buri (1200KM) last week and it was great. Started from BKK and joined the Si Sawat loop at the NE point in Suphanburi where the 4041 meets the 3480, then past Si Sawat to K'buri. Next day from K'buri to S'buri, the day after the reverse with a brief visit to 'admire the lawn' at the three pagodas and on day 4 I rode back to BKK. The bike handled all the twisties surprisingly well and you can really toss the bike around and have some fun. Center point of gravity is quite low so it's quite steady. It does really well off-road and on bad roads such as the one to Pilok. Sure it's not a powerhouse.... pretty far from that but I managed to keep up with traffic easily and I never really had to race or felt that I was under-powered. I guess the charm of it is that you can really push it to the limit and it really likes being pushed and up in the revs.

I bought an Airhawk cushion since the seat is utter crap and will give you bum pain. It's too soft and gets way too hot. The only issue I have with the bike is that it gets hot sometimes on the bike, especially now when the temperatures are already high but I guess that's the 'charm' of an air-cooled engine o_O.

During the service they adjusted the valves as well which were within the normal tolerance and the chain and tires are holding up well. Anyhow, thought I'd share this little update here. I'll try to post the video of my trip in the other section.

Nice write up Fritzltouw, its good to hear your impression of the Himalayan. Its a nice ride up to the three pagodas, and even better when the suns out.

I did say I would post pictures of the bike I did for my son. It turned out great, but the lanky git is too big for it, so I'm going to have to sell it. I'm thinking I should get around 20k for it.

It's been completely torn down and rebuilt. New plastics with my custom sticker set and it sounds and goes great.

It fits the missus perfectly.

Its never ending.

I was looking for something to fill the gap between my Interceptor 650 and the FJR1300 and had two bikes on the shortlist: a CB1100 and a Z900RS.

I was worried the CB wouldn't actually offer me a lot more than the Enfield, so did some swotting up on the Kawasaki. Usually, my eyes bleed when they look at a Kawa, but the RS is sex on two wheels.

I found a few bikes in the usual places but they had been sold. While I was waiting to hear back from another perspective my wife suggested I buy a new one. I don't like paying money, especially when its on stuff for me, but when one's wife suggests it, you have to go for it!

The dealer gave us 30k off list price and two free quantity helmets. The only thing they couldn't get for it quickly was the high saddle (which is a piss-taking 13k!).

I've just picked the bike up from the dealer and drove straight to K-Speed. They can get the saddle modified in a day which means I can take it to Loei on Friday!
