Hi,

I will be in Saigon, November 17. I should stay in Vietnam about 2 months. I am looking for a small motorbike. A Honda Dream or Wave or even a smaller 70cc, a beauty like this one (http://www.geocities.com/alaboux/honda.jpg), would be perfect[:)]. But I would be very interested by anything available at that date.

I don't need it to be registered to my name, but I need some papers that I can flash to police or whatever to show that it is not stolen.

The price is important as I am not willing to loose a big amount if I am not able to sell it back.

If your bike is for sale or if you have first hand info to where I can buy one in Saigon please let me know.

Please no lecture about the zillion peoples killed by accidents every day in Vietnam or all the things you can't do legally. All this has been covered again and again.

Thanks

Alain

You might consider buying or renting a Minsk.

A minsk if you want to ride outside Saigon and don't mind a bit of smoke.

Otherwise just go - there are more bikes than people (really), and you'll get something for whatever you want to pay in about 20 minutes. Don't worry about papers (nobody has them) - if you do get stopped, the police will happily accept anything with Ho Chi Minh's head on...

Oh, you can rent by the month pretty cheap too (just flag down an english teacher and ask them - they live in Apocalypse Now).

Hi,

Thanks for reply.

I changed my plan and will arrive in Hanoi instead of Saigon. But I am still looking for a bike for sale.

Any help will be welcome!
