Riding position? Classic "cafe racer" style...... you might appreciate this baby I had in Pattaya a few years ago.

That is the most beautiful bike ever made and the bike that started my addictive love of Ducatis ,i actually rode one for 3 months in 1982 lent to me by a mate who wanted to borrow my Norton Command and Harley Sporster !!! if it goes to Auction in Europe or USA it will fetch $75,000 -$120,000 in that condition
beautiful bike,lets not get carried away here with the price monstaman ,a good one will go for about $40000-$45000 in aust.Its not a 750 supersport green frame with desmo heads, its a 750 sport with valve springs.still a very ,very collectable bike and i would love one in the shed.If he ever wants to sell it let me know.cheers Greg
i saw the faired race model sold at Bonhams Auction in UK last year for £69,500,and a few months ago a 1974 750ss desmo came up in Florida auctions at $120,000 my friend Wayne still has his in NZ he bought it new in 1975 in UK and shipped it to NZ in 1991 its had 6 rebuilds and has covered over 170,000 miles , he reckons its worrth about $60,000 US.But I doubt he will ever sell it .
Wow that's in beautiful condition Rod. I worked in a Ducati dealership around 74 in Rockhampton Aus and the head mechanic had one, no chance a pimply faced teenager would be able to take it for a spin, but the boss had a 860 GTS as a demo/shop bike.
I was always in trouble for taking 30 or 40 minutes to get the morning smoko but the road to the top of the local mountain was beckoning.
The boss was a great guy, and obviously didn't believe me when I would tell him the bakery had run out of pies and had to wait for the next batch! I guess the huge grin on my dial was a dead giveaway!
