MOTOGOP 2007 Entry lists released.

The provisional entry lists for next year's three motorcycle grand prix series have been released by the FIM, showing few surprises but beating Ilmor's confirmation that Jeremy McWilliams and Andrew Pitt would ride its X3s.

New MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden has been listed against the #1 plate, breaking the recent tradition set by Valentino Rossi of a rider retaining a trademark number. The Repsol Honda rider will thus give up the #69 that he carried to success at the last round in 2005. Team-mate Dani Pedrosa will carry #26.

Rossi remains unchanged with the #46 set to adorn his Yamaha for another season, while team-mate Colin Edwards will ride with the #5 on the front of his machine. Makoto Tamada retains the #6 despite his switch from Konica Minolta Honda to Tech 3 Yamaha, while Carlos Checa takes his preferred #7 from the French squad to Honda LCR. Completing the triangle, Shinya Nakano will transfer his familiar #56 to the Konica Minolta operation.

Series returnees Alex Barros and Olivier Jacques will campaign their recognisable #4 and #19 plates, while it can be expected that the #99 will adorn McWilliams' Ilmor entry, even though the Irishman was missing from the entry at the time of issue. Sylvain Guintoli will use the #50 in his debut season with Tech 3, while Casey Stoner carried the #27 to the Ducati factory operation.

Jorge Lorenzo will carry the #1 on his Fortuna Aprilia in 250cc, but the 'top plate' will be absent from the 125s following champion Alvaro Bautista's graduation to 250. The Spaniard will run the #19 in the higher class, riding for the Master-MVA Aspar Aprilia team.

Here's looking forward to more yelling at the telly screen, Pikey falling down the stairs pissed, rousting Pedrosi as he continues to be a prat, discussing Rossi's noted absence of females (instead choosing a "friend" to assist him in the pits), and other glorious moments. Maybe even some good motorbike racing to break up the drudgery[;)].

Another fun season ahead with the GT-rider clan[:)].

That would be so cool if the greatest road racer of all time turned out to be gay. Might help to stifle some of the ignorant bigoted faction of bikers - though I kind of doubt it. [:(!]

Hey Thumper, talking about gay bikers, check out the foto below of a well know rider.

Check where his left hand is, and the shape of his right hand

Nice one T.J!

Whoopee!!!, less than 2 months until the fun starts again - can't wait [:D]

B&T, Hurry on back mate. I will try my best to carry on last season's shenanigans, but this year will be wearing full protective off-road kit anytime the U.N Irish Pub is the chosen venue. Was there sober on saturday night and bloody hell, those stairs are steep!

BTW, don't see Gary McCoy, thought he was on the Ilmor?

Cheers,

Pikey.

Nice to see the facade of that famous rider above removed, however briefly, so that he can be fully self expressed in his environment.

A few more beers might be the answer Pikey. That way instead of falling down a couple of stairs you'd clear the whole lot at the Irish? Nice to see you kitted out now for an evening on the town. Though leather and armour padding is a bit hinky for me i'm sure you'll enjoy it at your favorite evening hangouts[8D]. You might also want to strap Silverhawks gift to you on your bum for additional protection.

Memories of McCoy a few years ago sliding the 500 two stroke around like a speedway bike makes me hope he makes the grid this year.

Shiver me timbers I did not know that you were that good with Photoshop tropicaljohno....
And I reckon that I must have been sitting right next to you & at the Kafe when you uploaded it, you never even blinked an eyelid. Clever bastard if there ever was one.
Now where's my # 46 machine....what no 46, oh well must be time to retire and open up a guesthouse now that Jonadda is into guide books.

Pikey, looks like no Gary McCoy anywhere, at considerable expense and time yesterday, I searched MotoGP, World Superbike, British Superbike, and AMA, and no McCoy on any entry list.

Pity as even Rossi himself said he enjoyed watching McCoy sliding both wheels going into corners, on the few occasions that McCoy was in front of him.

(Actually Pikey, I was in the back packers, tapping into free wireless internet from somewhere, so ran out of things to do on WWW, as I had just paid 30 baht for an hour's www up the road...bummer)

ps Just got back to Phuket Sat nite 9.30pm, did 8,500kms, and typical, tropical rainstorm as soon as we got onto the island, UBC on at home, but no fone line, so tapping into neighbours wireless WWW. Also had to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for the beer I bought you, on my last nite in the Kafe, so hoped you enjoyed it. (Why do the girls here keep calling me Kineow Mak Mark, I no understand..)
