Yeah, I know...#1 tip = Don't... But this time I'm bringing the wife, who won't tour on a bike (says I ride too fast...all lies, I swear!!). So, the plan is to hire something like a Suzuki 4wd, do a couple of loops out of Chiang Mai, and then hopefully leave her relaxing or learning cooking while I get at least a couple of days riding in.
So...trusting fellow riders for better insights than I'd find on LP - what are the things to watch out for?, are some models better than others? Any advice welcome ...but don't hammer me too much - it's embarassing enough posting this...

Thanks guys. I'll check out North Wheels, but to tell the truth I don't mind something small and cheap/cheerful like the Suzuki. I notice Mr Mechanic does Suzuki Jeeps too - I hired bikes from them last time - are they ok for cars?
