^ Really? Every time you go to compose or reply to a post you should have a bunch of "buttons" at the top which allow you to control a whole bunch of functions, including "Insert Image" which I've highlighted below:

For me works fine on PC, Mac, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. :thumbup:
