The stock standard bulb on my d-tracker feels like navigating the dark by candlelight!
I would like to replace it with a bluer brighter bulb but i heard that to high a wattage may actually melt the plastic :wtf:?
So..does anyone know what the highest and safest wattage bulb i should use (H1-something?.. 35watts or 55 watts??)
Thanks so much!
:happy2:

I can only tell you what not to waste your money buying!! My old post #37 on this thread shows my quest for upgrade DTX bulbs failing: https://www.gt-rider.com/thailand-motorcycle-forum/showthread.php/36417-D-Tracker-KLX-250-Owners-Thread?highlight=30w+bulbs

Sorry for the late response Joel, ive only just now logged back onto the forum. and thank you for that advice and link.
I need to try work out what to do as last night i went around the Samoeng loop in the pitch black and my headlight sucked badly.
I either need to think on additional lighting fixed some place or experiement with bulbs (keeping in mind your report on them)...because the lighting was just not sufficient enough for that level of darkness. :/
