all the food served was basic but incredibly fresh & tasty.
Don't hesitate to spend a night in Doi Chang at Doi Chang Resort.
The Lisu owners are incredibly switched on, take care good care of you & speak English. One brother has a Thai restaurant in Sweden.
Check 'em out.

Doi Chang in January, cool season. Actually it was damn cold, around 8-9 deg C at night.
We stayed at Charlie's resort. Charlie is Lisu, baggy traousers and all. High season rate, 1000 Baht per night, including fresh coffee in the morning plus Kaow Tom Moo for breakfast.

The place is fairly new and the rooms were good with normal "concrete" mattress.

With two thick blankets on the bed, dressed in thermals, 2 pairs of socks, t shirt, jumper, wooly hat and scarf, I was warm enough....

Didn't use the shower..... too damn cold to take all your clothes off, it can wait till getting down in the valley.
