^ I agree.

But...

(btw) neither end of the cable you show will connect into the GPS or the transformer connected to the battery.
I'm sure they have one, but no shop I've been to or heard of stocks them. I generally don't buy over the internet and prefer to buy in person. If there's a place that sells them in BKK I'm all ears.

Everything with the GPS for a bike seems to be harder than it has to be. :)

Went in to buy the RAM mount that connects to the steering bolt.

But the Ball on the end of that is bigger than the ball connection point on the GPS holder that comes as stock.
So you have to buy and arm.
But that arm doesn't connect to the GPS, so you have to buy a diamond head connector to connect the arm to the GPS... :)

All up the GPS was only 3,900thb. But an extra 3,100 if you want to power it and connect it onto your bike.

I asked for the rubber cap that would go on top of the cable to seal it in the BKK shops, no. Can you get them in, no.

I agree there has to be easier ways.

Ah, you want to find a retail shop in Thailand that stocks the cord you need?

If your GPS charges via a Mini USB or Micro USBcord that's super easy to find in Thailand.

Gadgetrend and the various GPS shops in Pantip and Fortune IT seem to have the most selection, but if they don't have what you need you'll need to order it from abroad. Check out the powerlet site: http://www.powerlet.com/

They have an amazing variety of cords, they're the best quality money can buy, and they're pretty reasonably priced.

Another great site for all your GPS needs is http://www.gpscity.com/

Best of luck!

Tony

ps. the pic I attached previously is of the powerlet cord for my iPhone :)

Here's a Micro USB cord:
