URGENT UPDATE

It is with deep regret that we have had to postpone the monthly GTR Dinner scheduled for the 30th of March. It will instead be rescheduled to Wednesday the 27th of April, and will still be held in SA Iab.

As a courtesy the accommodation booked by all attending has been block cancelled direct with the hotel.

For those who wish to attend the dinner now scheduled for the 27th April, please rebook your own rooms with the mountain lodge.

Please accept our apologies, but circumstances beyond our control have dictated the need to reschedule, and we sincerely hope that everybody can rebook and attend in April.
I've rebooked.

Thanks to everyone who came with the right attitude to hook up, make friends & enjoy themselves.

The last Wednesday of the month in May, is Wednesday 25th May.
It will be a new destination to test and see how the rooms, service, food & beer is - just part of the adventure on GTR Up-Country dinners.

After my recent accident one of the first people to ring me after discharge from hospital was the delightful lady owner of Sakthong / Mountain View to enquire about my condition and wish me well. TQ Sakthong / Mountain View. Your call was a surprise but one of genuine care and sincerity.

As much as I would love to go, I cannot make this one. Build report? All main structure done & roof on. Now all we have to do is walls, and fit it out. Whilst the house uses normal TH build methods, its a totally one off textbook passive envelope design to naturally achieve the comfortable temperature & ventilation naturally. That has meant lots of negotiating with builder, and my GF and I have become our own building supervisors. Its also meant my having to engineer lots of unconventional things in house by adapting local products and materials. Thats why its taking longer. Meanwhile if I get a few hours here and there, I play with parts of my bike, and do R&D for same. Something I found today. You may see Corsa Tyres in TH. I was interested enough to look this up. Corsa is made in Indonesia and owned by Michelin now, where they make various brand names. So I’ll sign off by saying hello to all, and look forward to seeing you all at some point in the future, and a big hello to David FL and I hope your recovery is fast and all good. Thank you folks. All the best from Biggles.
