As I'm slightly mobile now with an electric wheelchair plus crutches I can get out & about in a limited way.
And the Bamboo Mexican is within hobbling distance of my house.....
So the last Wednesday of the month in September = Wednesday 28th September.

The venue the Bamboo Mexican with some fabulous food & delightful host Ms Mim & her Mum Taew.

Drinks & merriment before & after dinner can be at the
Teakgarden happy hour by the infinity pool.

Chiang Roy Pub with Ya

Rin bar with Rin & maybe Danny if he is back,.

For the record we have had a couple GTR Dinners in Chiang Khong at the Bamboo Mexican.

Once we know who's going Mim will advise on a menu set up for the group.

Please let me know asap for Mim to get organized.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Steve Merchant. Need to get out the garden sometimes. Mexican will make a nice change. Reckon I can get a room on arrival, the tourists seem to be few and far between.

That was a good day, certainly beat tree cutting in the orchard. After quite a lot of rain this month and the fear of the big storm heading east, Weds morning was just glorious and had me adding Mae Salong into the ride just for fun. At lunch in Chiang Saen I was 'hosted' by a fellow female customer who graciously took a cup, added ice then water and straw, making me feel like a real useless old codger. Chatted with Unk at Riders coffee, found Graham Edwards at the Rin Bar and had a chat with him, ate a lovely meal, prepared and served by the vivacious Ms Min and then joined the rowdy fun at Chiang Roy bar which had me up well past my normal bed time discussing asian vehicle repair wonders with Big Shirt Mike Rust. It aint all about the meal, the whole day got me out doing different things than I normally would. Thanks everyone.

Yes a great mellow night & brilliant to hook up with everyone again.
I enjoyed the company & renewing friendships after an absence of a few months from the "playing field."
Many thanks everyone for coming.

A few happy pics from various people.
