Haze seems to have lifted

When I drove north from Bangkok just over a month ago it was to do the Mae Sot-Mae Sariang road. Waste of bloody time time. I couldn't see a thing. Just acrid smoke. Gogglies and mask all the way.

Just headed back the same way and its bloody glorious. Blue skies, rivers and mountains..... One of the top five drives in Asia. Winding bits. Fast bits. Lots to look at. Ethnic crap etc... Brilliant. Parts of it look like route 13..... Also from Chiang Mai to Mae sariang is ok now. Some hot season haze but not the pea souper of a month ago. There are strong breezes and a little rain and its cleared the smoke.

I saw it on the Inthanon stretch of the MHS loop pre Songkran.... But now it really seems a lot better.

Anyone know a nice way to from Tak to the the BKK smoke?..... No?.... Thought not. A road from Uphang to Sanghlaburi would do it.... Maybe when we are old (er) etc.

Cheers

Dan
