Khaosok Trip Highlights
Route:-
Bangkok-Bangkrut-Ranong-Khaosok-Suratthani-Bangrut-Bangkok
Places we stayed at:-
- Bangklangaow Beach Resort. 1900bht (inc b/f) per night. Place is good and bike parking available right next to the room. Location 11.331829, 99.557884
- Baan Khaosok Resort. Tree house Resort. Entrance road is gravel and parking not so good. Plenty of other tree-house resorts in that area and lots of activities hiking and canoeing in and around the Khaosok national park. We paid 1500bht per night incl b/f. Location 8.908200, 98.526342
- Phuphawaree Floating Resort. More details on phupha-waree.com. Very interesting place. Floating rooms rocking and creaking all night. Accomodation was ok, nothing great. We had to leave the bike at Cheolan Pier (8.977708, 98.821636) parking. 40bht per night. Boat transfer was arranged by the Hotel. We paid 2350bht per person which included - a) Two-way boat transfer b) 3 Khaosok Lake tours and c) Accomodation with a/c, TV and personal kayak d) 3 unlimited meals (very good!). We had to pay extra 320bht per person for national park entrance. Location - 9.041495, 98.63649
- Bayview Beach Resort. Bangkrut We paid 1600bht per night incl b/f. Resort with private beach. Well managed place. Better than the place we stayed earlier. Location 11.380534, 99.585528
