Having worked for many years at the EEC region and at the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, i used to go to Koh Samed frequently as just kms away.

From CNX you go there as follows: get onto one of the 3 or 4 times weekly flights with THAI LION AIR to Utapao airport, organise yourself a 'neutral' GRAB transport before flying (local taxi m.f.a wont let them do bitnettt there) who drives you down to Bahn Phe Port (east of Rayong with a marvellous market for fresh seafood) for a speedboat ferry to the island.

All boats land at the main pier where you have to pay farang entrance fee to the NP.
Outside the port you find green pickup taxis to bring you to your hotennnnnnn.
If you go to Bahn Phe by car or motocy there's many undercover guarded parking areas for a fee.
Water is clean as situated before all the industrial areas starting near Rayong such as Maphtaphut and the efficient harbour Laem Chabang.
