The 10th National Games are being held in Oudom Xai from 13-21 December 2014.
You can expect most accommodation to be full & the roads busy in the area around this time.
The road Pak Mong - Oudom Xai was supposed to have been rebuilt - widened & resurfaced in preparation for the games, but we understand this is behind schedule & the road is often a mess still.
So perhaps a bit of extra caution & care is needed.
