One of the new very popular tourist attractions in Mae Hong Son, is the long bamboo bridge across the rice paddies to facilitate monks from Phu Sa Ma temple on their morning alms round to Kung Mai Sak.

With land donated by farmers, the bridge was built by Permanent Secretary Mr.Jittaphat Akkhapanyo together with the Kung Mai Sak villagers at a cost of 800,000 baht.

The completed bridge is 2 metres wide & 500 metres in length to make it the longest in Thailand.

The official name for the bridge is Su Tong Pae.

Kung Mai Sak is north of Mae Hong Son.
West of R1095. It's on the GT Rider, MHs environs map of the GTR Mae Hong Son Loop map.
Here's how it looks on Google Earth.

most tourists find it by it by going in from Kung Mai Sak, but there's actually a dirt way in off R1095 that drops you right in at the top by the temple.

The temple Phu Sa Ma.

The view from the hill top temple is damn good, but you should go there in the morning so you're not looking into the sun perhaps.
If you go in the afternoon, then go to Kung Mai Sak first for the best photos.
As luck would have it I did it in reverse.
Chok dee...

In dramatic fashion the bridge collapsed this morning under the weight of people making merit for the end of Buddhist lent.

29 monks & the MHS Deputy governor Wiroon Panthewee was on the bridge at the time, presiding over the merit-making ceremony.

Some images of the scene from Mae Hong Son
