first one for me and I must say it was a very enjoyable evening. Well done to all involved in making this happen!!

As usual a great turnout for the GT Riders Dinner.
Over 30 people turned up at Miguels for a good feed of Mexican food.

Only one casualty on the night my Irish mate Liam got a puncture on the ring road, I was in front and could'nt do a u turn, he got home ok.

Here is some photos of those attended.

Yes, a great evening with an excellent atmosphere. Only regret, my iPad pictures are so lousy that I can not post them here :( ; Maybe someone took a better one with a reasonable tool.

... just see the one from Tom! Thank you for sharing them :)

I decided to upload the iPad pictures, just to show how bad they are :-( , even so they might be marginally better with a suitable light. My Nikon still has good days ahead  (also a way for me to test GTR direct upload, has someone any idea why the last two pictures came out horizontally, I tried hard to change this, all 3 are identical on the computer).

A splendid evening meeting some new friends like Keith, Jurgen and Ron as well catching up with Art and admiring his beautifully restored SR600 [by Franz]. :happy2:
Franz is now talking about selling his superbly restored Super Tenere for mad money!
The lasses added enchanting colour, with K. Thukta [sp?] looking as smashing as ever.

Tom and David were in good form.
David clearly learning more about our local creepy crawlies :shh:with his scorpions having just given birth!
All in all a great GT-R evening reminiscent of the good times past which promises more to come
with new solid biking buddies getting together to share a mutual passion without the BS.:clap:
Cheers

Looking forward to meeting with friends again. As rainy season should come to an end soon, 12 October will be about the last possible period for me, after that it will be time to hit the road for longer tours ... and many friends seem to be heading toward Laos this year :)

It's gone a bit quiet on this, maybe because of floods etc. To do something positive can I suggest that we meet at Miguels, Nong Hoi, on Wednesday 12th, as it is now flood free and there was a good attendance there 2 months ago. Maybe we can also agree a December date, when together, for those who would like a bit more notice. Usual meeting time 7.30pm

I could be asking the same question as I´m now planning my first
longer trip this season, and the GT Rider Dinner could be a goal as
good as anyone.

Busy time in Chiang Mai early November leading up to Loy Kratong falling from 10th to 12th. Any takers for a dinner on Tuesday 15th, or Wed 16th?
