The road has been sealed for years, and was still in good condition early this year.
If coming from Nan, there is a partial road collapse on the right a few kilometers in. Half the road is gone, but still one full lane.
About 15 km in, there is a 3 way intersection where you turn right. You won't see a route sign until after you make the turn.
Not much gas until you get close to Phayao.
