The Terrace is a winner every time.

Nan Steak House has moved about 500m downstream. (Across from a playground. Parking on either side)
The menu has changed a bit, and a healthy wine collection has been added. OSM will be updated.

Aha. What was sign posted as the Terrace was actually the Sanian.
Now the Sanian has moved straight across the river, due to parking problems for customers so I understand.
(Oddvar please correct me if need be,)

The new look Sanian is massive & still has good food & service, plus a superb view.

quite a way out of town past the airport.

Nan's new popular up market night spot - packed every night. Upstairs & down.

Noisy, boisterous = low conversation level.

Finally a Crossroads restaurant and pub in Nan. An retired Aussie Sub Mariner Chef is running the place. His food is great and the beer is cooled and served as only Aussies can.
Located at the "Elephant" Intersection going north and out of town along 101. Google Map 18.792827° 100.779784°

The restaurant is located at a motel with about 8 rooms with a 1200 bath price tag!! Transport is available for night crawling at the famous Nan Night life, a round the clock party town.

A lamb shank at 650 bath and worth it. Two days preorder. He will do any roast upon request.

Crossroads Nan has moved. The reason is the usual. Landlord getting greedy.
The new location is up the road past Nara Shopping. Walking distance from Devaraj Hotel.

Excellent service, clean, spacious.

A magnificent cheese platter

A juicy steak

Duck with peach sauce

Some kanom

Happy diners

Dinner cost 1,000 baht each with double whisky shots & a bottle of Hoegaarden.
Not something that the old GTR fellah does, but Gin's was / is arguably worth it for a night.

We were highly impressed. It ticks all the boxes. First class food "5-star" food for a less than 5-star price.

An excellent location ginrestaurant - Google Search straight across the street from the Grand Mansion which is now 400-650 baht a night.

Crossroads, a victim of covid, has retreated out of town, back to the village.

A new spacious property with loads of parking, but still the same good food, information and biking info for Nan.

Another "hi-so" newbie trying their luck in Nan, supposedly with a chef ex the Dusit hotel in Bkk.

Plenty of off-street parking

A nicely renovated traditional house

An extensive menu that covers "everything Thai & Farang." Worth investigating a 2nd time.

A caesar salad that gets a conceded pass

A failed chicken quesadillas, that was more like a roti.

Tip, try something else on the menu.

His food is great. He used to have the restaurant in Gat Nan, but about 4-5 years ago he moved to the present location. Well worth a visit.

Nan Artisan Pizza พิซซ่าเตาฟืน​

Honestly the best Pizza ive had...

Neapolitan style pizza, they guy knows his stuff...olive oil and fresh home grown sweet basil to add once the pizza was ready...

He makes them in front of his house, just starting out....there are a few chairs to sit and eat but he said he prefer delivery or pick ups. he's on Lineman and Grab I believe.

I had the 4 cheese pizza so it may look a bit bland but honestly it was amazing, and ended up being a 5 cheese as he went and got some fresh parmesan and ground a good chunk on top....the crust was perfect.

Nan Cottage Cuisine & Cafe

A "new" kid on the block in the "new" night life strip.

Excellent ambience, indoors & outdoors dining.
Limited beer selection but extensive menu. Inexpensive.
Sorry I forgot some food photos.
Recommended for a meal to hang out in the night life pubs in the same street.

Chalerm Thai

A large folksy open-air pub with live music & TV (the football.)

2 or 3 TVs for sports.

A nice friendly, easy going place at the start of the Nan night life strip.

Out & about in Nan again. A couple of new places from me.

The Say Pub & Restaurant

A low-key, relaxing joint, riverside on the town side.

Directly opposite the Sanian.

During the season, you can watch the boats training for annual races.

Happy, friendly staff.

I usually don't drink Singh, but weakened for the smiley PG.

Bitter Bar
A smart, classy cocktail bar.

It opened five years ago and was almost a secret upstairs bar; not even Oddvar knew of it.

I was excited to sit at the bar when I saw the collection of bottles, but sadly, 99% were empty.

Bacon Bar

A small cost craft beer pub in the night live strip.

I settled for an excellent lemon beer.

The place has a relaxed environment.

Erabica Coffee Nan.

An outstanding coffee shop and restaurant.
Open for 7-years with coffee from San Charoen - Suan Ya Luang, Erabica truly is a hidden gem.

The colonial - King Rama 5 ambience of the place is superb

Lots of varied seating options & enclaves to relax and enjoy your coffee or meal.

A huge range of intriguing coffee drinks to try, plus great coffee.

They also have a brilliant menu with lots of farang dishes.

I've been to many coffeeshops in my travels, and Erabica truly blew me away as # 1, the best I have ever been to.
I can't wait to go back to Nan to Erabica!
