Dropped in to 320 SP today after work to get a tail light for the KLX and a couple of other things.

They informed me that the shop will be moving over to WongWian Yai as of July 1st.

Asked for the new address.. She said to look on the website closer to the time.

Bigger premises / show room etc.

Wonder if they will go up market the same way Paddock has these last few years or still keep the wholesale prices and warehouse feel.

Cheers
Brian

Finally a visit to 320 SP.
And yeah it's not easy to find, but the give away are 2 banks (1) Thai Farmers Bank, then UOB , then you have the Soi to 320SP
And the name of the Soi

and the shop is a veritable Aladdin's den of motorcycle gear & accessories.
Jam packed full such that it is difficult to get any decent photos.
However....I had to have a go & take some.

possibly the top motorbike accessory sales lady in the country, & no doubt a serious wheeler & dealer.

320SP will be moving on 21st August to a new address across the river at Wong Wiang Yai
Their new card

291701=16352-GTR-320SP.jpg

they also have a new website & catalogue in the works.

Now if you live in the North,or even elsewhere in the Kingdom outside Bangkok & dont want to make the trip to Bkk then my guess is our GTR supporters Chiang Rai Saddelbags can get you most things that 320SP have.

And what did I buy?
A new Komine Supreme Titanium Jacket

291701=16353-GTR-Komine-Supreme-Titanium.jpg

& the price: 4,500 baht.
Size 4XL = I had to try on a few to get the right size. 5XL is the biggest too I understand.

BUT
Now I've seen this in the Komine Catalogue
The Komine Sargas Touring Jacket

291701=16354-Komine%20Sargas%20Touring%20Jacket.jpg

however, 320SP say no have.
But Paddock do have

291701=16355-IMG_6481.jpg

with a price tag of 15,000 baht.
So it's still in the shop for now.

Just before Honda Big Wing, Lad Phrao.
Great shop for parts - they will source and order for you hard-to-get parts, be they for old Africa Twins or new Harleys. Joe's Bike Shop CM have been using them for years to source the impossible for rebuilds.

1. Arai Quantum ST

292742=16770-Arai-QuantumST.jpg

THE NEW STANDARD IN SPORT-TOURING COMFORT

The new Quantum ST is the successor to the popular Quantum model. Aimed and developed for the large group of serious sport-touring riders who demand a perfect mix between touring comfort and sports performance. The new Quantum ST is the perfect companion for these riders. Using the technology from our top of the range RX-7 GP race helmet in combination with a brand new outer shell, a new dimension in sport-touring performance was achieved. The new ST shell offers significantly more space around the chin area for even more comfort and ventilation during those long runs. Another Arai breakthrough in advanced helmet technology is FCS, the abbreviation of “Facial Contour System”. The FCS cheek pads offer an integrated ‘’spring’’ action. This makes putting the helmet on easier with less effort needed. With FCS the cheek pad wraps under the jawbone and on the cheekbones instead of mostly on the soft cheek area. Although the fit feels looser, FCS actually offers secure support over a larger area providing superior stability and comfort with minimal pressure. The new “Peel Away” pads offer thin surface pads that can be removed from the headliner as well as the top surface of booth cheek pads to achieve the best possible, personal fit and minimize the need to purchase additional padding. Together with the Dry Cool interior, extensive ventilation system with dual intake, exhaust and side vents the new Quantum ST offers new levels in touring comfort. Of course the Pinlock anti fog insert lens, Max Vision SAI visor and the Arai Emergency Release System are standard features. Finally we are proud to mention that the new Quantum ST meets both the ECE 22-05 and SNELL M2010 standard! A special feature that was previously only reserved for the RX-7 RC and RX-7 GP.
and / or
2. Arai Tour-X

Adventure, grand touring or off road, no matter the riding conditions, the Tour-X4 is ready for anything. The Tour-X4 has a complete new outer shell. Redesigned to be tougher, stronger and stiffer than ever. As the Tour-X4 may be used under extreme conditions, the ventilation system has been redeveloped for maximum efficiency. The new Facial Contour System (FCS) offers more support and comfort to the lower jaw and creates a tighter fit. For an even better personal fit, there is a removable 5 mm surface foam layer on the cheek pads and temple pad from the headliner. Wear the Tour-X4 with or without peak, with or without visor and combinations of these two. The large visor opening offers plenty of room for motocross-style goggles when riding without visor.
The Tour - X 3 was 17,000 baht at the Arai Shop
The Tour - X 4 is 24,000 baht at Riders Outlet.

Suggest you take the BTS to Wongwian Yai BTS and then make your way.. Looks to be around 600 to 700 metres walk on Google Maps,

Cheers and hope you find this useful.
Brian

One thing to add:-

If you know what you want and your size.. be very clear on the size.. EUR or Japan
If you know the Japanese size for the Jap gear.. Use that..
Every time I said EUR they had to think and half the time would get confused..

I said EUR L and they kept referring to XL.. Hope this saves on any grief with mail orders up country.

Will have to get it stickered.. a little to plain and boring white for me..

Asked them about EMS.. Then said to the guy next to me.. Give you 200 baht to run it back home for me.

Yep OK.. Apparently EMS would have cost 300 baht.. He did it for 200.. Downstairs waiting at reception.

This is in part a cut and paste from another post of mine but thought it should also go here.

I would recommend House Of Bikes on Phatthanakan Road Soi 20 on left as you ride down from main road http://www.houseofbikebkk.com. I used them to supply and fit PIAA horns to my Versys. I was recommended them by another BKK biker I know who has had work done by them. Its more of a bike bling supply and fit shop rather than repair or service. That said they did a fair job fitting the horns and had a constant stream of Thai customers having bits fitted. A girl had some English but fitters not much but was not much of a problem. They had stock of Rizoma stuff, YSS shocks (yes not good rep atm) Brembo brakes, some DOT labelled lids and a selection stainless fasteners plus other bits.

Check out the websites for the various shops listed and compare the prices.

Yup, Checked the prices in 320sp, very tempting i can say. Alpinestar prices starts from 2500, are they genuine,the reason is in India alpinestars start from 6000. I loved Komine jackets.Defitely i will visit 320sp

There is a lot of fake stuff in there.
But also a lot of genuine.

To date the jackets I have seen looked OK..
If you are in doubt.. Look at the Alpinestar distributor earlier in this thread.

Prices in Thailand have come down a lot over recent years.
In some cases the same as or cheaper than the USA.

Hi Fellas,

Read about this shop on another thread and went and checked it out today.
Thanks for posting this shop - thaicbr

If you live in Bangkok or passing through.. Worth a look..

Here is the Google Map Location and Street View of the Soi..

https://maps.google.com/?q=http://share.gps.motionxlive.com/shr/x/kmz/a00e6e7e6285e030ac46240620b67923&ll=13.739987,100.505113&spn=0.000719,0.002857&t=h&layer=c&cbll=13.739988,100.505114&panoid=LHgZ-Tbs_C40T0gGLsbuKw&cbp=11,163.03,,0,5.31&z=19

GPS Co-Ords.. They are out a bit, showing on the opposite side of the road..

Latitude: 13º 44' 24" N
Longitude: 100º 30' 18" E

Website:-
ร้าน 320SP จำหน่ายสินค้าเกี่ยวกับอุปกรณ์รถ&#3

How to find the shop:-
Basically you pass the Kaisakorn, Indian Bank and UOB.. It is a tiny little Soi on the left.. Most likely you will pass it as cars / pickups block the view until you are past.
It is not visible from the road and you over shoot like we did. The Soi bike taxi's will wave you back to the right direction.. One even rode with us to the front of the shop..

Standing on the corner of the Soi looking across the road (Krung Thai Bank)

G'day All,

320 SP recently moved over to Wongwian Yai..
Decided to go over and check out the new shop..

Not bad indeed.. Not chaotic like the last shop.

The shop is down a small alley way.. There is a sign on the wall.

Look for this on the round about and you have it..

For those visiting.. Traffic is terrible getting over the river to Thonburi.
Suggest you take the BTS to Wongwian Yai BTS and then make your way.. Looks to be around 600 to 700 metres walk on Google Maps,

Google Maps

Cheers and hope you find this useful.
Brian

One thing to add:-

If you know what you want and your size.. be very clear on the size.. EUR or Japan
If you know the Japanese size for the Jap gear.. Use that..
Every time I said EUR they had to think and half the time would get confused..

I said EUR L and they kept referring to XL.. Hope this saves on any grief with mail orders up country.

Thanks, Brian. I needed a temporary replacement helmet on the way through BKK (My brain must have grown, as my Shoei GT-Air, which was comfortable, now has me begging for mercy after about 20 minutes - Somehow That doesn’t work with 10hr days...). Why did they invent waterboarding when undersized helmets are readily available?
I caught the BTS over to WWY (I used to live over there in the 1980’s), and got friendly service at 320SP, which was doing steady business at the cashier.
