Hi all,

After a great trip in Januari 2004, when I met a coupple of you, I'll be returning in 2 weeks time. Back then I had bought a bike from Peter Reid, but this time I'll rent something. I have found much info on this site on bike shops, their assortments and prices, but I haven't found out yet if it's wise to book a bike in advance.

Should I worry about finding a good bike fast and book in advance? Or is it easy to find a good bike within a few hours or less? I won't have a lot of time and don't wanna waste much time searching or waiting on a decent bike. Any thoughts are very welcome.

Can't wait to get to Chiang Mai again.
Cheers,
Maarten

In high season it is always busy & bikes are in demand.
So when you get here it is quite possible that the best bike your prefer is out on rent & not immediately available; and if you have limited time then, yeah it would be wise to book a bike.
Mr Mechanic has a website & email address.
Tom & Joe also have an email address.
Tony at Tony's Big Bikes does not use email, but just ring & book.
