riding a Cambodia bike to Vientam

Hi,
thinking about buying a bike in Cambodia ... I was told that I could easily go to Laos or Thailand with it but that it would be a mess to go through the Vietnam border ...
Do you think it's not possible / possible / easy to cross the border ?
