Road conditions Phnom Penh-Poipet via Battambang

Good to start up a dialogue about current major road conditions in Cambodia and pleased to hear that road from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh is good as we are off there tomorrow. Hear that the road from PP to Battambang and Sisophon is also good - can anyone confirm that who has ridden it recently?

Hi,

I took a Camry ride from Poipet to Phnom Penh via Battambang on the 29th, the road is near perfect with just a few bumps sometimes and some detours at some of the bridges. It's definitely a smooth ride on a bike and even in a car it was easy to catch some sleep. Only the first part from the border to the first town was a little rough.

Yes did that road today and can confirm that from Battambang to Sisophin the road is excellent except for a few bumpy parts through towns and diversions where they are building bridges. From Sisophon to the border at Poipet the road is appalling with pretty heavy traffic and huge potholes - not much fun. About 2 hours to the border from Sisophon maybe a little more.
