Routes to Mondulkiri

Has anyone done road 307 (Gecko map) to/from Mondulkiri? I'm looking for an alternative way back to Phnom Penh. I'll be doing the ride late december, will the roads be dry by then?

As promised, reporting back for you... route 307 isn't too wet at the moment, (mainly rocky) though it has become pretty overgrown over the rainy season and there are some parts where the vegetation has actually grown over the trail! It basically alternates between rocks and vegetation, and should be fine for you if you're an experienced offroader...

Is it a pretty straightforward run? I don't have a gps but do speak some directional khmer.

Hi andy.. yes the route is pretty straightforward, no confusing turn-offs and intersections like other trails..You'll pass through a few small villages at either end of the route, as well as one in the middle so will be able to confirm en route....
