Dining in Tak is like a lot of other places in Thailand - its great... but if you are passing through for the first time, you either need some local knowledge, or you must spend some time there and explore to find the popular "local" places.

There are pubs, restaurants and cafes, but more often than not there is no English-language signage.

[format=h2]Lyrawadee Restaurant[/format]

Location: 2kms north of the Route 12 bridge over the Ping River. on Route 1107...

The restaurant has multiple levels, and looks east across the Ping River. A great location for sundown beers and snacks! There is an illustrated menu in Thai language and if you ask nicely they have an English menu sans photos...

There is live music - Thai folk / country - and the staff are friendly and courteous.

Two easy going night spots

The Ton Folk and the Zinzano, both open air with some light music to relax and enjoy.

Economical, nice food & decent service.
Perhaps a bit out of the way for some - across the river on the west side, on the bypass road. Take the northern upstream bridge & follow the road. It is on the right side.

The Zinzano a cool layed back country pub on the east side.

Top service, atmosphere & value for money. Highly recommended.
Location out on the super highway, not downtown; however worth the effort.
