The moonson season still not finish
and the street I do with my Triumph I will get problem expecially wiang heng to pai off road.
Anyway a little in a hurry I must to go to Nepal next week and Italy when i come back.
Let start with last trip start last sunday 12 october.
First night at Doi Angkhang
The day after eat at royal project restaurant

Monday 13 october i was thinking to drive until Wiang Hen
But we start soon and I continue to Pai

In October never happen a lot of mud like this in some point can make complicated travel alone with a heavy motorbike but also 4 wheel car
Can cry for sure

Doi Angkhang 180 thai baht for tend we have
Pai I need spa for my bone
And so 2 days Hot Spring Pai resort and spa
1500 thai baht with breakfast.
Covid time prive was 1000 baht
A little old building but in a park along the river

Change idea want put tend in a lake near ban rak thai but was raining
And so rent a room ban rak thai 1000 baht

And at the end Ban Rak Thai
Cannot imagine the success have the place
1998 first time i drive Suzuki 150 cc from phuket to ban rak thai strett not paved red street need time from mae Hong son to arrive and only me in the square and one cinese with minivan
Today 7 am have already the lake full of boat
Alwayes good cinese food
I finish diesel alone the way
In Ban rak thai is possible to found at entrance small automatic self service benzine and diesel
Expensive 45 thai baht litres but have

expecially the mae Hong son loop with motorcycle
But a lot of rain last days along the way
There will be soon a better time to enjoy.

Luca i am sure you enjoyed this trip and you dared to take that dirttrack during rainy season to Pai. Bahn Rak Thai is one of my favourite places up North too. I always go there during low season as i cannot stand the BKK plated vehicles and its contents during high season. Have you also been to Pang Ung lake nearby?

Ban Rak Thai looks stunning, and I've never seen photos of the lake at night.
It looks to have become a real tourist hotspot now, and lot busier than when I was last there.
