I have a TDM900 which is included in this recall. Obviously, the Yamaha dealer network in Thailand does not handle big bikes.
After a lot of checking, I was directed to Mr. Yukio Tanaka, who is the Head of Technical Services for Yamaha Thailand. An e-mail to him produced the following.
1. My bike is covered by the recall.
2. Since Yamaha does not sell big bikes in Thailand, they do not have the part in stock.
3. He has contacted Yamaha Japan, and they are sending the required part next week, along with instructions to install it.
4. He will send it to me as soon as it arrives.
