Hi .. just saw an old thread your in re getting a bike make legal ie. by somehow getting a Customs Duty Reciept. I am in the same boat now with not 1 but 2 bikes, just wanted to know if anyone found a solution?

Hey Hoghead,
Evidently you overcame a modification I'm in the middle of now (R1 shock on a lowered Versys). I would be very interested in your end game, like what spring did you use & did you find it locally? Also, how much of that tab above the shock did you have to shave?

Hi David..Saw your bike in Piston shop today. Recognised it straight away as I’ve been reading a lot of your posts again as I bought a used Strom last week:) Great bike but i don’t like the Anakee 3 thats on mine..I noticed you had the Pirelli Scorpion trail. How do u rate those? Have u any other favourite tires for the V-Strom? Cheers, Keith

I'm not in Lao at all but am planning to go there and could be there in 1-2 weeks and I want to cycle Lao. I'm just wondering what your plans were. If you are leaving tomorrow what will you do with your bikes? If I were there now and could make it to you I'd definitely be interested... I'm wondering how I can show up in Lao in another week or 2 find a bike and (maybe) someone (else) who wants to tour Lao...
