I am getting a whining sound from my KLX engine every now and then which sounds like a slipping fan belt of a car engine, it's not there at idle but can be heard 3000 rpm onwards and then gets more intense when increasing the revs.
Is is not alwyas there so difficult to pint point how it gets triggered.
Otherwise engine runs fine without any signs of oil consumption or ticking noices like valves or big ends.
Coudl it be that the bearings of the oil or water pumps are worn out? But bike is a 2011 model with only 3500 km on the clock.
