Watching the storms roll across Doi Ang Khan from the roof top of the resort (฿700pn). It's not a busy place, you'd hardly know it was here. Once I met a group of friendly policemen from Mae Hong Song staying here. As I was packing to depart they were brewing their special coffee on the back of their pick-up. We drank coffee, shot rice whiskey and departed.
I've stayed here a good few times when doing the Doi Ang Khan (Ban No Lae) - Wiang Haeng - Chiang Dao - Fang loop
This trip is to restock with cow peas*
A good place to decompress. Comfortable accommodation. Expensive beer, but a good starting point to reflect and feel the vibe before heading up the mountain for cow peas.
