An exceptional find & highly recommended. Cheap.

The Number one pub - Riverside Return

the adult playground in Chiang Kham.
Good music, service + food.
Location out on the bypass road by the junction of R1021 & 1148. Head north from town on 1148 & turn left onto the bypass R1021 & it is just a few metres from the corner on the left hand side.
Well recommended for an enjoyable late night out.

The Carrot Cafe

my new favourite stop in Chiang Kham for a break in the aircon.
Smart, clean & airconditioned, with tasty cheap food.

Popular with students & mums with a close school proximity.

But the aircon & cheap food is a winner for me.

Malaengpor Restaurant. N 19 deg 31.415' E 100 deg 17.028'.

The Malaengpor (dragonfly) is a foundation and has many parts and buildings used for conventions etc. The restaurant has a great menu selection and seating next to a pond of Koi carp.

It is now run by a husband & wife team, but sadly no music

The Chiang Kham bar night life strip, in a soi behind the Nissan dealer. There's a couple of cute little pubs / bar beers.
The two main ones are opposite each other. Lab Kom Nom To & Chill Up.

Lab Kom Nom Tor - "Bitter Larb Big Tits" would seem the most popular one.

Interesting to note: the singer & guitarist duo, play in both places. So if you really like 'em, you can follow them to the pub straight opposite!

The White House Restaurant.

A large open air restaurant with live music, out on the super highway bypass.

A relaxing east going country style place, suitable for big night out with a group = plenty of space.

Easy going friendly service. Good fod, but no English language menu.

Chiang Ban Rooftop X Cafe

A smart, clean, functional air restaurant & cafe. Upstairs & downstairs aircon dining.

Inexpensive & good value for money.

184 baht for a beer, goysa, & soda.
Well recommended for an aircon pit stop.

Sadly the Lab Kom Nom To is no more, but the Chill Up is going great guns.

The place filled up by 11pm & was rocking,. Some earlier pics.

Back to the Chiang Ban

Dinner for two & enormous servings of food = we could not eat it all!

We shall return & order less, food. Chiang Ban really is excellent. Spotlessly clean an extensive menu, huge servings & brilliant cool aircon.
Highly recommended!
