So, I have to now be a subscriber to access the trip report that I posted on GTR?

John

There are hundreds of posts on GTR.
As mentioned with no map income now, I cant keep running the site for free now, unless there are some donations to help maintain it.
The idea of a "beer a month" paywall is the option being explored.
If you have any suggestions or offers I am open to suggestions, how to stay afloat.

David I just signed up for the Year. I think it’s a good idea. I’m a newbie so I have no idea how it was run before but there is a wealth of information and I feel that 960 baht for a year which works out less than 100 baht a month is a seriously good deal for all the knowledgeable information amend tips .

G'day, paid the yearly fee and enjoying the enormous content. Haven't departed Australia yet! But hope to make the transition over 2nd quarter next year for a few years. Thanks, Chris.

Hello,
How do you get to the paywall? I seem to be blocked at every turn :joy:

Hi. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction. I'd like to read more of the forums here, as I live in Chiang Mai. I see the cost is "one beer a month." Yet, when I go to subscribe, the page says $150 a month, or $960 a year. Is that the current cost to read the forums? Thanks

Well, it appears that it does in fact pay to read...THB, not USD.

Apologies for any confusion.
A single month is 150 baht.
Take out 12 months and it is 80 baht a month = 1 beer a month.
If you are unsure of the value of info try a single month @ 150 baht and access all the info for 1 month.
Then decide if you think a year is worth it, but we hope a beer a month / 80 baht is reasonable value for money.

Cheers from David in Phayao tonight.
