Morning fellow GT Riders. m planning to ride to Kanchana / Sangkhla Buri mth end and any and every advise on must see places or off the beaten track is much appreciated. Bikes involve wud be versys,tiger,er6...and that leaves out tough off road sections as in your amazing off road rides.Stopping a night at Prachuap Khiri Khan.:happy2:

There is so much to see and do in Kanachanaburi, both on and off the bike. Recommend you have a look at some of the following threads for some ideas-

Hellfire, 3 Pagodas & a Ferry

KLX from Bangkok to Sangkhla Buri and back
Sangkhlaburi to Kanchanaburi, the scenic way...
Kanchanaburi-Si Sawat A Great Loop

I reckon you could spend weeks exploring Kanchanaburi and Sangklaburi and still not see everything.

Right now as it's dry season you could take the road bikes on some of the easier dirt roads without much difficulty.

If you are going to ride through Prachuap Khiri Khan I hope you'll check out Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park- stunning!

If you get the chance to drop in or stay at Baan Ricky.. Very nice base to explore the area.. Hell Fire Pass is just down the road around 6 or 8 km away..
Good accommodation, MX tracks, etc.. and restaurant.. Worth dropping in and saying high to Alan or Ricky..

Cheers
Brian

I agree with Tony for Sam Roi Yot, and dont forget a detour via Kaeng Krachan on the way to Prachuap. Much better than the highway.
