Just a remark, last time I went to Red Baron in BKK, I saw they are also distributing big brand new Kawasaki bikes thus I wonder if we couldn't get the whole range from them as well ? I trust them from experience thus would be a good thing to have them on board for this distribution network. On top, they are specialised in japanese bikes and they have the passion of racing and tuning bikes.

As far as I understand it Red Baron imports new bikes legally and pays all the taxes, which explains their high prices.

Your post about driving the 'Duke' home was fantastic, first post on GT rider with pictures that I showed the missus as the 18 year old in me aches for that bike. She doesn't worry about me ogling beautiful women but how I reacted upon seeing a Duke parked curb side.....oh momma.

The DUKE is pure motorcyclee porn,i do not mind teling what im gona do with the six kawa`s,it its for a trip with friends,starting in bkk drive all the way along the burmeese border up to ch mai and ch rai,down to Nan Loei,Nong Bua Lamphu,Khon Kaen,Mahasarakham,Khorat,bkk,it is about 2500 km covered in about 2-3 weeks first trip will be in october.

Anyone interested in joining is very wellcome to do so,the aim is having fun and drive motorcycle,if the trip is a success it will be one trip evry month eccept for the sonkrahn month.
The cost of the trip is not fully calculated yet but i will guess about 50-60 k bath will cover the bikes and hotels,it depends on how meny days.

I would not recomend the DUKE for your kid i asume that you like him,most parents do like theire kids,iits a bike for very experinced drivers,
its very unforgiving,check out the CB 1000 R from honda i think its more suitable i know it dosent have the karishma and the aura of the DUKE but it packs a lot of punch and it looks good.

I forgot to tell my wife about the purcahse of the DUKE and now she hates me a little but its parked in a way that she can not avoid seeing it evrytims she goes out of the door,yesterday it seemed a bit better as she asked me to come and get her at work with the bike now its about a week ago since i bought it and now she has stopped saying BMW.
I never interfeer when she wants to buy a vacum cleaner or a new iron.

i have been trying to get reply on my e mails to red baron,once i tried to order a B-king suzuki just for the hell of it,guess what!!!. NO REPLY.

As said Nuwatmat, maybe you can ask to a bankokian biker (here or on TV) to relay your enquiry to Red Baron... As I understand, some of them go to "visit" Red Baron from time to time...
