Recommend you inquire at Red Baron and Paddock. If they don't have in stock they can probably get it for you. Happy Trails! Tony

Recently put these Pirelli MT60's on my ER6n and they are awesome!

In stock now at ShowPow in Bangkok. They carry pretty much all of the Pirelli dual sport, enduro and dirt tires-

Don't know which one of these would correspond to the Michelin Desert tires...

The MT-21's rock they're pretty much the best offroad tire which also works on tarmac.

If only sand the MT-410 this is a new specialized sand/mud tire.

You need lot's of deep knobbies for sand and mud, the MT-410 replaced the old MT-44 as the Sand/Mud tire. Only for offroad though, if you intend to use them on the road, MT-21 is the answer.

Good alternative is Dunlop D-606, it's Dunlop's most aggressive tire which can be used on the road.

Read a lot of positive feedback on D-606 rear with MT-21 front combination.

Tony, I've had Pirelli MT60s on my XR650L, have been a fan of them since then. But on a street bike? Are they better than what you had before?

Cheers KZ,

Well, "better" is a relative term

I put the MT60's on the ER6n with the intent of touring Cambo and Laos where I understand sport tires can make things a bit 'challenging'. (Did you read Liam's report of his travels and troubles in Laos on his ER6n with the Dunlop Roadsmarts?)

I found the MT60's surprisingly good on pavement. Hammered the twisty bits from Lom Sak to Nam Nao National Park following the always swift John Gooding and was able to keep up without any slides or skids. I'd never try to push those tires as hard as I would the Dragon Supercorsa Pros that I was running before.

For pure road riding I don't think the MT60's would last very long- they seem quite soft, but for dual sport I think they are great tires.

Happy Trails!

Tony
