I hope to join up for dinner with you all this Friday. It will be a good opportunity for a Newby to meet you. Did you settle for 7pm or 7:30pm David?

Its a relaxed event and I am sure no problem arriving at 7pm onwards, probably helps the staff to get us served if do not all arrive at exactly the same time. I will get there by 7pm and see if we can get a table organised for us. Look forward to meeting up first time this year. Was going to suggest that we may plan dinners for the last Friday each month, maybe varying the venue between Franco Thai and Eurodiner. Maybe can discuss this on Friday evening?

Following the last Friday of the month principle with only 28 days this month would be a little early for this dinner so suggested date is Friday 1st of March at Eurodiner in upstairs room from 7 pm onwards

Shame, I'm in Chiang Mai from 4th to 10th March and was hoping to join in one of your dinners. If there's anything else going on around then please let me know.

All the best

Hi Richard, sorry to hear that you cannot make the dinner on March 1st. The intention is to have dinners on the last Friday of each month, including March 29th. Hopefully one of the upcoming dinners will fit better with your plans. Would be happy to meet up with you at The Kafe or Eurodiner one evening between 4th and 10th March to chat over anything happening at that time.

John,
That's great. I'll be in touch as soon as I get in town - I'll be staying at the Aruntara Riverside, arriving on the 4th. The following day I'll be looking to rent a bike!

All the best

Richard

Just a reminder, The 'February' GT Rider dinner will be at Eurodiner, upstairs from 7pm onwards this Friday 1st March.
The March dinner will be held at Franco Thai on Friday 29th March. The intention is to continue to hold dinners on the last Friday of the month, alternating between the above venues.
This allows for some forward planning, especially for those who may be visiting from other areas. Of course we will review this after a while, depending on response and other ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

I'm back in town, for a few days - who's up or Friday at Francos then?

This one has crept up rather quickly.
I am one the way to Rayong for a few days and I am not sure if David will be available.
for those in Chiang Mai, why not stick with the pattern and as Colin suggests meet at Eurodiner tomorrow evening

As I'm "in town" & used to dining alone I don't mind fronting up at Euro Diner anyway. The food & conversation is always good there; plus I'm sure Captain Slash wants to get in my ear over my meal again, as he did last night.
7.30PM Friday 26th April for me at Euro.

Hi John,

What is the usual dinner schedule?

Last Friday of every month?

Planning a trip up soon and may try and make it coincide with the GTR dinner..
Nothing like waking up early for a ride with a whopping headache from too many JD and Soda...

Cheers
Brian

OK next dinner will be Friday 31st May from 7pm at an old haunt. Miguels at Nong Hoi. This to give a bit more comfort with aircon in this hot season
Apologies for any confusion over April dinner.

Only a week away now and confirming date of next dinner as Friday 31st May, Venue, Miguels at Nong Hoi from 7pm. Thats where we held the first one; now was it 2009 or 2010, not found the original thread and the first page of this one starts when we were having our first dinner away from Miguels.
