Thanks to all who attended in Phrae from Brian and Mon. We had a good night making new friends and working out that too much red wine for the girls is never enough!!

Guys stayed at 3 hotels around town, but the core group was at the Nam Thong as suggested.
The rendezvous then was the Krua Hom just near the Nam Thong - happy hour started here.

Mae Cheam? That won't even warm up the tires!

That said, I've never stayed a night there and its also a good excuse to also drop into the Thep Phanom Hot Springs along 1088...

A quiet-ish night in Mae Chaem.
The Kiwi Cuiser & I hooked up in Khun Yuam & rode over to Mae Chaem together, checking out the lunch stop for he Memorial Ride.
Foolishly we believed we were the only two diners & lingered a bit long at the Sikon for happy hour & a message comes in from Brian & Mon, where are you? We are at Muk's having dinner. Oops, so over to Muk's we rushed for a damn good meal & chat.
    45169590_1905683683059886_7815250189769244672_n.

Thanks Brian & Mon coming to Mae Chaem for the night.
I hope you had a good few days there, checking out the highlights.

    Upcountry Dinner - Wednesday November 28th 2018

    There's been a bit of discussion on the topic of a venue for the November dinner... Choices are;

1.) Tak - good riverside restaurants and pubs, and a fantastic cafe on Highway 1 on the edge of town. A good loop ride which enables those who have not been on the 105 since the upgrade to experience that. From Mae Ramat, the 1175 shortcut is also a great hilly road over to Tak.
    - The Ping River Loop: Tak, Li, Hot, Mae Sariang...

2.) Mae Sot - tremendous changes in Mae Sot in the past few years has seen a new Central Plaza mall pop up, plus pubs, restaurants and new hotels. Still a good loop ride, as above...

3.) Uttaradit - good hotels, steak restaurants and pubs
    - Uttaradit Restaurants
    - Uttaradit Accommodation

OR we could make it a two-night event, as next month the last Wednesday is 26th December and that probably means a low turnout.

An indication of what would suit the majority would be helpful in setting the venue.
    - thoughts and preferences please...

Any are OK with Me? I have never stayed in Tak? Stayed in Mae Sot a few times. Also never stayed in Uttaradit! So all would be nice!

For those of you that will be taking the 1175 to Mae Sariang before or after the Tak dinner on Wednesday. The road is in good shape and has little traffic. I was on it on November 20th. The 105 up to Mae Sariang is also in good shape and is a nice change from the previous constant construction and the spots that needed construction. Have a good dinner as I am going to have to miss another one.

I will more than likely spend 2 nights in Tak, then return direct to Chiang Khong (I think).
